Relapse Prevention

#about-nadine

At Steele Recovery, we are experts at detecting (not predicting) the warning signs of relapse. Of course, no one can predict a relapse however, you don’t just look down and say, “Hey! How’d that pipe get in my hand?” either, therefore, there are significant red flags to look for when your disease is rising it’s ugly head. Here are some common triggers and warning signs to watch for yourself or loved one.

  •  Lessening or stopped meeting attendance
  • Not working the program of recovery “Dry Drunk”
  • Self-pity
  • Depression
  • Isolation
  • Overly confident/Cocky
  • Angry Outbursts
  • Irritable or Agitation
  • Not talking to sponsor or other friends in recovery
  • Self-centered
  • And HALT: Hunger, Anger, Loneliness, Tiredness

If you identify with two or more signs in this list, please consider going to treatment, back to meetings, talking to your sponsor or calling us at 909-219-2589
